A Visit to Futterman’s Date Farm

Futterman’s Date Farm is a family-owned date farm in Indio, California.

We toured this expansive date farm and learned the step-by-step process of growing, fertilizing, pollinating, and harvesting dates. A wide variety of dates are grown here, including several new varieties, one named after the owner’s granddaughter.

Our tour ended with a date tasting, giving everyone an opportunity to sample different varieties and discover a personal favorite.
